Welcome to Shadowbound - Casual - 02-22-2026

What to Expect as a New Citizen of Shadowbound RP
Welcome to Shadowbound RP.
Your first day in the city sets the tone for your entire experience. This community operates on realism, consequence, and meaningful roleplay. Below is what you should expect when entering the world of Shadowbound.

1. You Start as a Civilian
All players begin as civilians.
No power. No status. No special privileges.
Your story is built through interaction, reputation, and consistent roleplay. Advancement comes from relationships and narrative development — not grinding or shortcuts.

2. Serious-to-Medium Roleplay Standards
Shadowbound maintains structured roleplay expectations:
  • Remain in character at all times during scenes
  • Escalation is required before violence
  • Actions must align with your character’s personality and background
  • Consequences are enforced
This is not a “run and gun” environment. Every major action must have story-driven purpose.

3. Reputation Matters
Your character’s reputation affects:
  • Who trusts you
  • Who works with you
  • Who targets you
Respect is earned. Arrogance has consequences. Word travels quickly within the city.

4. Crime Has Structure
Criminal activity requires:
  • Realistic buildup
  • Clear motive
  • Proper escalation
Random attacks, unrealistic robberies, or revenge killings without roleplay development will result in administrative action.
Large-scale corruption or faction-driven criminal activity may require staff approval.

5. Law Enforcement & DOJ Integration
Shadowbound utilizes ImperialCAD for legal tracking and character management.
You are expected to:
  • Register your character
  • Maintain updated information (address, status, vehicles, etc.)
  • Sync your character data in-city
Failure to register may result in in-character penalties such as fines.
Law Enforcement, Fire/EMS, Tow, and DOJ rely on this system for realism and accountability.

6. Safe Zones
Hospitals, Police Departments, and Courthouses are designated safe zones.
Combat or active criminal activity within these areas requires administrative approval.

7. Death & Consequences
  • Injuries require proper hospital roleplay
  • Character Kills (CKs) require staff or mutual consent
  • Death is not a reset — it is a narrative conclusion
Every major action leaves a trail. Investigations, retaliation, and political consequences are part of the experience.

8. Factions & Organizations
You may:
  • Join an existing Family, Syndicate, or Business
  • Create a custom faction with staff approval and structured backstory
Factions operate with hierarchy, discipline, and internal codes. Leadership and influence are earned, not granted.
9. Community Expectations
Shadowbound is built on maturity and respect.
  • OOC harassment is not tolerated
  • Staff decisions are final
  • Disputes must be handled through tickets
Staff members volunteer their time. Professional conduct is expected at all times.

Final Note
Shadowbound is not designed for instant gratification. It is designed for long-term storytelling.
If you are willing to commit to immersive roleplay, meaningful character development, and realistic consequence, you will thrive here.
Welcome to the city.
The shadows are watching.
