Business Change Proposal

As part of the continued vision for expanding roleplay opportunities in Paleto Bay and creating a more player-driven economy, this proposal introduces the first phase of changes surrounding how restaurants will obtain food, specifically meat products, moving forward.

Part A focuses on restructuring the restaurant meat supply chain in a way that encourages more civilian business interaction, rewards hunting and processing, and opens the door for entirely new player-owned business opportunities.

Part A.1 – Hunter Processing and Direct Sales
Under this proposed change, hunters will have the ability to either sell their harvested animals as they normally would, or process their own meat into usable restaurant-grade products.

This creates a more meaningful role for hunters within the economy by allowing them to become suppliers rather than simply sellers of raw game. Hunters who choose to process their meat can then sell it to restaurants, businesses, or other approved buyers, creating a new avenue for legal commerce and roleplay.

This would:
Give hunters additional earning potential
Create more player-to-player trade
Encourage rural and outdoor roleplay to connect directly with the restaurant industry

Part A.2 – Grocery Store Supply Remains Available at a Premium

Restaurants will still be able to purchase meat from the grocery store if they choose not to source directly from hunters or processors. However, this supply will come at a higher markup.

The goal here is not to remove convenience, but to make it less cost-effective than building actual supplier relationships with players. Restaurants that want the easiest path can still use the grocery store, but businesses that put effort into networking and supply deals will see better margins and stronger immersion.

This would:
Maintain accessibility for restaurant owners
Encourage businesses to seek out real suppliers
Support a more realistic and interactive economic loop

Part A.3 – Player-Owned Meat Processing Facility / Factory Opportunity

A player would have the opportunity to purchase and operate a meat processing factory located either in Paleto Bay or at the existing meat packing location in Southern Los Santos.

This facility would allow for bulk processing of meat and would serve as a wholesale hub for restaurants and other food-based businesses. In addition to production, the facility could include a storefront component where restaurant owners can directly purchase processed goods.

This creates the potential for an entirely new business type within the server: a food supplier / meat packing business.

This would:
Create a new business ownership opportunity
Strengthen Paleto Bay’s economic identity
Provide a realistic middleman role between hunters and restaurants
Open the door for wholesale contracts, storefront sales, and delivery operations

Overall Purpose

The intent of Part A is to make restaurant supply more roleplay-driven, reduce reliance on static store purchasing, and create stronger economic links between hunters, processors, store owners, and restaurant operators.

Rather than food simply appearing through standard purchase methods, this system would reward sourcing, business relationships, and logistics. It would also give Paleto Bay another meaningful economic purpose beyond simply being a northern town.

Summary

Hunters can process and sell their own meat for restaurant use
Restaurants may still use grocery store meat, but at a higher price
A player can purchase and run a meat processing facility, creating a new business model and wholesale supply point

This proposal is intended to serve as Part A of a broader Paleto Bay economic expansion plan.

TL;DR
Paleto Bay Part A would change how restaurants get meat and food supplies.
  • Hunters can either sell animals normally or process their meat into products restaurants can use.
  • Restaurants can still buy meat from the grocery store, but it’ll cost more.
  • A player-owned meat processing factory could be opened in Paleto Bay or southern Los Santos to bulk process meat and sell it through a storefront to restaurants.
Goal:
Create more player-driven business, give hunters more purpose, and introduce a new business type tied into the restaurant economy.
