I've been seeing quite the trend lately where criminals just can't seem to find competent getaway drivers. It's like they think their friends and family are gonna magically transform into Michael Schumacher behind the wheel. Don't get me wrong, I understand that crime pays and you want your crew to be loyal. But when those "loyal" individuals crash your car or leave you stranded at the scene of the heist, it really makes me wonder if they even know what a getaway is supposed to entail.
I mean, have these criminals ever seen a movie? A competent driver knows how to execute an escape route smoothly, not slam on the gas pedal and plow through parked cars like an elephant on amphetamines. Maybe they need to hire some more skilled mechanics as well - I've lost count of the number of times my bank heist has gone awry due to faulty or sabotaged vehicles.
As a fellow criminal, I just think it would be in our best interests to invest in better driving lessons for our cohorts and maybe even some insurance for our stolen cars.
