As a mechanic on this server, it feels as though I'm just spinning my wheels. The cars keep breaking down, sure, but the real problem is the lack of respect for our trade. We fix vehicles that could have been avoided if people didn't drive like maniacs or maintain their cars properly.
I understand this is a roleplay server, but why are we all expected to adhere to these ridiculous regulations when it comes to car maintenance? Who decided that changing your own oil or replacing worn-out brake pads was suddenly illegal? It's not like I'm getting rich off of people coming to me for minor repairs. In fact, most of the time, I lose money on those jobs just so they don't get pulled over and fined for their "illegal" actions.
Maybe it's time we start a union or something to advocate for our rights as mechanics. We should be able to work without fear of getting into trouble with the law because some admin deemed our services unnecessary. It's just not fair, and I've had enough.
I don't want to fix cars anymore; I want to fix the system that makes it so difficult for us to do our jobs properly.
